Cruise Description
8 Night Cruise sailing from Sitka to Ketchikan aboard Alaskan Dream.
At 104 feet in length, the Alaskan Dream is an innovative, streamlined catamaran design allows the vessel to easily navigate narrow channels and passages like a yacht, while at the same time providing the comforts you would expect aboard a much larger ship.
Cabins all have extra-large viewing windows. The public lounge faces forward with the same view as the Captain, affording spectacular views of the scenery, ports and wildlife along the way.
Day 1 | Sitka
Board a deluxe tour boat for a “Sea Otter & Wildlife Quest” exploration of beautiful Sitka Sound. Home to marine mammals, Sitka sound counts gray, humpback, and killer (orca) whales, eagles, brown bears, sea otters, and Steller sea lions amongst the abundant wildlife.
Day 2 | Glacier Bay National Park
A Glacier Bay National Park Service Ranger leads our programming and a Native Huna Tlingit interpretive naturalist joins us to reveal traditional ties to this ancient treasure.
Day 3 | Juneau & Orca Point Lodge
Enjoy highlights of the scenic state capital include the Mendenhall Glacier and Mount Roberts Tram. We’ll depart Juneau to Colt Island and go ashore for an Alaska salmon and king crab dinner at Orca Point Lodge.
Day 4 | Tracy Arm Fjord
Explore this glacier-carved fjord with sheer 4,000-foot granite walls punctuated by waterfalls, a major highlight of Alaskan Dream Cruises. View the icy glacier face and seals up close from a Zodiac.
Day 5 | Hobart Bay
Guests enjoy a second day at our adventure base camp, outfitted with sea kayaks, small outboard driven Zego runabouts, and all-terrain vehicles.
Day 6 | Petersburg
Charming Petersburg, founded by Norwegian fishermen in the late 1800s, is still a fishing town. Enjoy a folk dance show by local children at the Sons of Norway Hall, then have time to explore the town.
Day 7 | Wrangell
Board a jet boat to tour the Stikine River, fastest navigable free-flowing river left in North America, then see downtown Wrangell and Chief Shakes Tribal House on a brief walking tour.
Day 8 | Misty Fjords
Learn the natural history of the fjords, listen to the call of nesting seabirds, and feel the mist of glistening waterfalls while gliding quietly beneath glacier-sculpted cliffs.
Day 9 | Ketchikan
One of “America’s Top 100 small arts communities”. Visit a variety of shops and galleries featuring resident artists.
