7 Night Cruise sailing from Porto to Vega Terron aboard AmaVida.

Day 1 PORTO – EMBARKATION
Embark your ship in Porto today. This evening, meet your fellow passengers at the Welcome Dinner. The ship moors overnight in Porto. (D)
Day 2 PORTO
Your sightseeing tour of Porto reveals 16th century arcaded buildings, Baroque churches and the magnificent iron bridge built by French engineer Gustave Eiffel. You will also have a chance to see the elegant residential section along the Atlantic coast. Enjoy some free time to explore the Old City on your own. For some modern culture, you may want to head to the Boavista area, where you will find the Casa da Musica and the museum of Modern Art. The ship moors overnight in Porto. (B,L,D)
Day 3 PORTO – ENTRE-OS-RIOS
This morning take an excursion to Guimarães, one of the most historic towns in Portugal and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy some scenic cruising through the Douro valley on your way to Entre-Os-Rios. This evening savor a glass of Port wine and take in the breathtaking view of the river valley from the terrace of the 14th century Alpendurada Monastery, where you will be served dinner. The ship moors here overnight. (B,L,D)
Day 4 CALDAS DE AREGOS – REGUA
This morning enjoy an excursion to the historic town of Resende. Early this afternoon, your ship departs for Régua, arriving around dinner time. (B,L,D)
Day 5 REGUA – PINH�O
This morning, you will have an excursion to ancient and picturesque Lamego, home to one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Portugal, the Nossa Senhora dos Remédios (Sanctuary of Our Lady of Remedies). Other attractions include a Gothic cathedral, a museum, and charming cafés. This afternoon, enjoy the wild, rugged scenery as your ship cruises through the dramatic gorges of the Douro river valley. Tonight, enjoy dinner at Quinta Avessada. (B,L,D)
Day 6 PINH�O
After breakfast, enjoy an excursion to the palace and gardens known as the Palacio de Mateus, located in the beautiful region of Trás-os-Montes near the city of Vila Real. Later, enjoy some free time to explore at your leisure in Pinhao. Your ship moors in Pinhao overnight. (B,L,D)
Day 7 BARCA D’ALVA
This morning, take in the sites along the valley as you cruise from Pinhao to Barca D’Alva. In the afternoon you will visit Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, a fortified 16th century village perched high on a hilltop with many steep, narrow streets. Be sure to stop in the market square to admire the Chafariz dos Pretos, a striking fountain decorated with black faces. The ship arrives in Vega Terrón later this evening, where it will moor overnight. (B,L,D)
