Cruise Description
9 Night Cruise sailing from Sydney roundtrip aboard Carnival Legend.
Ready for a vacation of legendary proportions? Set sail on a floating resort so spectacular she needed a two-level promenade for all of her fabulous shops, lounges and nightclubs. And, with most of her staterooms featuring ocean views and the majority of those with private balconies, there should be no problem getting the perfect accommodations for your cruise. With her delicious dining — including a reservations-only supper club, wide variety of onboard activities and pampering service, this “Fun Ship” has already become a legend in her own time.
Highlights of this cruise:
Isle Of Pines
Also known as the ‘Jewel of the Pacific’. Ooh, sounds pretty. Sounds sparkly. Sounds pretty spot on. With its white talcum-like sands and crystal blue waters, you’ll totally see why the Isle of Pines earned this title. It really is a unique little gem.
The name Isle of Pines on the other hand obviously comes from the narrow pine trees planted all over the island. While the trees aren’t exactly built for climbing you can certainly catch some shade under their branches. And do you wanna hear something really cool? The island was actually named by Captain Cook yonks ago when he was sailing by one day. Interesting stuff.
And that’s the Isle of Pines in a nutshell. A beautiful, shiny, one-of-a-kind type of nutshell.
Lifou Isle
Beautiful, breathtaking, adventure packed, stunning, picturesque. and that’s just for starters. You’d better hold onto your straw hats ’cause there’s more to Lifou Isle than meets the eye. So while it may be tempting to just chill on the sand all day, we recommend you take the time to explore, explore, explore.
The weather is super sunny all year round so you should totally hit the water and hang with the friendly fishies. Especially because Lifou Isle has the brightest marine life around. And the amazing cliffs that line the north coast of the island are well worth a look too. Beaches on one side and cliffs on the other? Yep. Pretty awesome, huh?
Lifou Isle certainly has a few tricks up its sleeve so prepare to be spellbound by this little island of surprises.
Mare
Mare is the Pacific Islands at their best; think water so crystal clear blue it looks fake, so full of fish and turtles you’ll want to snorkel forever, think untouched beauty, think a tropical paradise, think aaaahh, now I’m truly on holiday!
Divided into eight districts, Maré offers something for everyone. Jagged basalt rocks are evidence of the island’s first volcanic activity, dark forests stretch to the cliffs’ edges and its central plane is scattered with grottos and natural pools where fish and turtles abound. Though shopping and dining options are scarce, Maré encapsulates what it truly means to get away from the every day and relax while experiencing something new and inspiring. Its beaches are postcard worthy; its waters are always warm; and its views are unforgettable.
Noumea
It won’t take long to find your French side in this city. See for yourself, mon ami. It’s got that Parisienne style, sophistication and joie de vivre, with a little sun, sand and smiles thrown in too. And the French cheer is totally infectious. Trust me, you’ll be shouting bonjour! to strangers before you know it.
Aside from ordering delicious croissants (in perfect French of course), there’s plenty of other great stuff to keep you busy. All you gotta do is choose which is more your style. Are you more in the mood for a day at the beach? Or would you rather the hustle and bustle of the city? Perhaps a bit of both?
Whatever you choose, this capital city is sure to please everyone’s tastes. Especially if your tastes happen to have a craving for something French.
