7 Night Cruise sailing from Mandalay roundtrip aboard Road to Mandalay.
Itinerary:
Day One
Embark Road to Mandalay, berthed on the Ayeyarwady River.
After lunch, enjoy a guided tour of the key sights of the city.
Return to the ship for dinner.
Day 2
Join an early morning tour of Shwe Kyet Yet village.
Sit down to breakfast as you sail to the ancient capital of Ava for a tour by horse-drawn cart.
Return to the ship for lunch and set sail for Bagan, enjoying an evening at leisure on board.
This evening enjoy a casual cocktail party followed by dinner on board.
Day 3
The ship arrives at Bagan, where a guided orientation tour shows you the most important of the 2,000 temples.
After lunch, continue the tour or choose to explore at leisure with a bicycle or horse-drawn cart.
Return to the ship in the evening for dinner and local entertainment.
Day 4
Enjoy a full day’s excursion to Mount Popa, a national park and believed to be the sacred home of powerful ‘Nats’.
Return to the ship for dinner and local entertainment.
Day 5
After breakfast join the guide to explore some of Bagan’s bustling local markets.
Alternatively, you can hire a bicycle or horse-drawn cart and explore this enchanting area on your own.
The ship anchors mid-river for the evening, providing a marvellous opportunity to observe the stars, followed by a spectacular dinner.
Day 6
Relax on-board with a morning at leisure, including a cooking demonstration on the top deck.
The ship moors in Mandalay late afternoon for a tour of Mingun, home to the enormous, ruined pagoda of King Bodawpaya.
Return to the ship for dinner and local entertainment.
Day 7
A full day’s excursion to Maymyo, a colonial hill station set high in the mountains.
A typical Shan lunch is taken at a colonial house.
Back on Belmond Road To Mandalay, enjoy a final farewell dinner.
Day 8
After an early breakfast disembark.
